Our Story
A software solution born from farmers' needs
The story of Sheepal began in 2018 with the observations of two senior software and database experts who started developing software for the sheep farming industry. We met with farmers and listened to the challenges they faced managing their farms: paper notebook records, forgotten vaccination dates, lost birth records, and uncontrolled expenses... All of these were major sources of stress for a farm owner.
We set out to find a permanent solution to these problems. We had long discussions with farmers, listened to their needs, and developed tailored solutions for each. Thus Sheepal was born.
We tested the system together with real farms, improved it with feedback, and worked to make it as reliable as possible. The feedback we received when we shared our beta version with the first farms confirmed we were on the right track.
Today, we continue working with a growing family of farms, and we receive hundreds of new records every day. Our goal is to build on this success and make every farmer's job easier.
